How to quickly prepare 3D views?

As an example, let’s prepare 3D views of the HVAC system based on different floors. First, we’ll define the dimensions of the section box. Instead of doing it manually by clicking and dragging, we can use the “Resize section box”, which is part of Kobi Toolkit for Revit.

The “Resize Section Box” tool allows you to improve speed and accuracy in defining its dimensions. You can key in the size of its dimensions or define it based on rooms, levels, grids, or views.

Simply select a room or space you want to see or select the entire level. Furthermore, you can use the Kobi Toolkit “Filter” option to speed up your workflow, by seeing the count or quickly selecting the elements based on different categories. Here you can select elements based on an active view, an entire model, or a premade selection. Select a grouping order of your choosing and check the desired elements you want to select. In our case, we want to hide certain categories and prepare a new view template for the HVAC system.

Once you are happy with your view, you can create a new view template and apply it to others. To adjust the view range of a new view, quickly use the “Resize Section Box” again and adjust it to your needs.

We hope this will help you save some valuable time.
