# Modeless Filter

Modeless Filter icon

Select instances with the help of the dialog box that can be always open. The tool shows Revit instances in a tree structure, sorted by different properties (e.g. Category, Phase, Level, etc.). It allows selecting elements from the dialog box or directly from the open View/Model.

Select Instances

  • Group by - Select grouping order for easier selection of the elements. It is possible to group elements by:

    • Category
    • Workset
    • Category & Level
    • Level
    • Room
    • Space
    • Family
    • Phase
    • Parameter Filter Group

  • Edit elements - Use the toolbar to: Collapse, expand, filter toolbar

    • Select all nodes
    • Deselect all nodes
    • Invert checked nodes
    • Collapse selected nodes
    • Expand selected nodes
    • Expand nodes on 1st level

  • Select elements from a tree structure.

  • Use buttons to:

    • Refresh treeview
    • Zoom to checked instances
    • Isolate checked instances
    • Revert isolation
    • Select color for graphic override (click … for additional options)
    • Paint checked instances
    • Revert graphic overrides of selected instances

Select an element > Click on the Kobi Toolkit tab > Go to the Selection panel > Select Modeless
