# About Sign Holders and Traffic Signs Attributes
Sign Holder inserted in the drawing contains the following attributes, that are listed in the Properties palette:
Station: The station is determined by the distance of the Sign Holder from the start point of the selected polyline or alignment. Station value is empty when Sign Holder is not attached to any polyline or alignment. The attribute is refreshed automatically, when the Sign Holder is moved.
Position: This attribute is determined by the side (left or right) of the Sign Holder on the polyline or alignment. The attribute is refreshed automatically, when the the Sign Holder is moved to the other side of the polyline or alignment.
Sign Name: The attribute represents the Sign Holder name, which is specified in the Sign Holder parameters.
Comment: The attribute value is empty by default. It can be specified in the “Description” field when inserting a new Sign Holder or edited existing one using the “Sign Holder Manager” command.
Nr. of Posts: The number of columns is determined by the selected Sign Holder construction type.
Post height: The Sign Holder height is specified in the “Insert Sign Holder” dialog. The parameter value can be edited using the “Sign Holder Manager” command.
While Traffic Sign inserted in the drawing contains the following attributes:
Code: The Sign name is determined by the selected Sign. The attribute cannot be edited.
Clearance: Clearance parameter is defined as the elevation difference from the lower bottom edge of the Traffic sign to the projected TIN Surface.
Description: The Sign name is determined by the selected Sign. The attribute cannot be edited.
Size description: The Size description is specified when inserting new Sign Holder in the “Size desc” field. It can also be edited using the “Sign Holder Manager” command.
Status: The status is determined by the selected status of a Traffic Sign (Existing, New, Moved). It can be specified when inserting a new Sign Holder or edited later using
Alignment name: It represents the Alignment name, to which the Traffic Sign is attached.
Note: If Traffic Sign contains attributes definitions, they are also listed in the Properties panel.
